Dutch Prowise supplies 15,000 digital screens for German classrooms

The Dutch IT and education company Prowise will equip 15,000 classrooms in seven German federal states with large screens over the next four years. This will give an enormous boost to digitalisation in schools in Germany. The contract was awarded after a European tender by the German cooperative ProVitako, which consists exclusively of public IT service providers. The contract is worth around 45 million euros and is also eligible for subsidies. The new interactive whiteboards will be installed over the next four years in around 500 schools in the German states of Berlin and Brandenburg through our partner ARKTIS IT solutions. and in North Rhine-Westphalia, Lower Saxony, Bavaria, Saxony and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania by Prowise itself.

Data security

In addition to the good price-performance ratio and the high level of reliability, the decisive factor for the awarding of the contract was above all the compliance with the required high standards for data security and data protection. As in previous years, Prowise received the seal of approval for data security “IT-Grundschutz” from the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) in 2023.

A step forward in the digitisation of education

With Prowise, we have gained a partner in the “presentation technology” module who has a great deal of experience in the education segment and provides a reliable digital infrastructure for teachers and pupils. Prowise continues to grow 

Liesbeth Ahrens: “Prowise continues to grow and will continue to do so. The 26 countries we do business with all have the digitisation of education high on their agenda. If you look at our growth since the founding in 2009, you see a constant strong rising line. The number of screens sold increased by 25% in 2022 compared to 2021. In 2023, we could see a constant growth of at least 20%, and that’s still without the order from ProVitako. The forecast for next year is even better.
