Prowise Central for Windows update: increased ease of use and stability
Install the new Prowise Central update on your Prowise Touchscreen Max.
Good news! A new update for Prowise Central for Windows is ready for you on your Prowise Touchscreen Max. We have implemented smart improvements to enable teachers to work more easily and clearly.
Please note! This update applies exclusively to the Prowise Touchscreen Max (21:9 and 16:9).
Prowise desktop
You can now choose whether to display an analog or digital clock on the desktop. And good news: the time synchronization issues have been resolved, so the clock is running precisely as it should again.
Improved Remote Control
The remote control now operates even more intuitively. When freezing or blacking out the screen, you receive immediate visual confirmation, so you always know what is happening. The interaction with the touchscreen via the remote control has also been noticeably improved, for even smoother remote operation.
Uninterrupted Screencasting
Casting in the classroom is now much calmer and more stable. In queue mode, you will by default only see the first connected device; other devices can be accessed via the queue. This keeps the screen uncluttered. Windows also respond more intelligently when you close, minimize, or reopen them. And if you start a full-screen presentation? The touchscreen will remain active without automatically going into sleep mode.
Settings
- The settings menu has received an upgrade. You can now secure it with a PIN code, so that, for example, only you as an IT professional or teacher have access, which is convenient and secure.
- Curious about what exactly has changed in the latest update? In the ‘About’ section, you will now find a clear overview of all software changes.
- If you adjust the name of the interactive whiteboard? A notification will automatically appear prompting you to restart the touchscreen.
- If you choose a preset and the lift starts to move? With the new ‘Stop’ button, you can immediately interrupt that action.
- Improved features in the distributor and service menus.
- You can easily configure the buttons at the bottom of your interactive whiteboard (the frame buttons) for an action of your choice.
- The menu items of the Central menu can now be arranged as desired.
Important Bug Fixes
With this update, we have resolved several important bugs:
- An improved interface and a better performing Prowise Central menu. For instance, you can now open the hybrid menu even faster by placing five fingers on the touchscreen.
- The touchscreen sometimes unintentionally switched to standby mode, without the ability to prevent it. You can now easily interrupt this when necessary.
- Improvements to the flashlight and magnifier tools.
- Smarter and faster updates: updates now appear directly via Windows notifications, are installed by default for all users (even before login), and proceed more smoothly thanks to an improved OTA system with smart caching.

We have also summarized all improvements for you in the release notes.
