Budel-made content ends up in mailboxes across Europe
During a product release at Prowise, an entire ‘command centre’ is created to make sure the release goes smooth. A look behind the scenes during the release of the new Prowise All-in-One PC.
The thinking has of course been done beforehand. Wishes from the education sector have been translated to product features. The All-in-One PC has specifications to actually make a difference in classrooms in for instance Hilversum, Cologne or Manchester. It is time to reap the fruits of our labour after days, weeks and even months of preparation. An exciting day!
Strategy and excitement
The command centre will be operated by Evi (online marketing), Rogèr and Robin (design) and Jesper (content). These four make sure that all websites, press reports and other releases are correctly presented in all countries that Prowise is active in. Everything comes together in the last week before the release. Text, visuals, animation, strategy and a healthy dose of stress. Radars scan faster. Lines are shorter. Coffee is stronger.
The final check
The text receives the finishing touch. The visual background colour receives the finishing touch. The smoothness of an animation is tested on every type of browser and device. Are the presented specifications 100% correct? A quick double-check with the Product Management department. Have the educational benefits been sufficiently highlighted? A final ring to our education advisers luckily clarifies everything.
Into the big wide world
The big moment arrives a few minutes before 3 o’clock. One touch of a button concludes the combined effort of all departments within Prowise. That what has been developed in the highest degree of secrecy, will become public in a matter of seconds. Hundreds of written words, dozens of visuals, various animations and press releases are presented to the world. Budel-made content ends up in mailboxes across Europe. The release is complete, we all breathe a hidden sigh of relief.
