What is new in Central 2.2.1?

How can I connect the screen to a network?
You can connect the touchscreen to a network through WiFi or with a network cable.
Ethernet
Connect the network cable to the LAN port of your touchscreen. The touchscreen will automatically detect the network and connect.
WiFi connection
Carry out the following steps to connect to a WiFi network:
- Hold down five fingers on the screen for a minimum of two seconds to open the Prowise Central menu.
- Open the sidebar to access the settings menu.
- Select ‘Connectivity’ in the sub-menu.
- Select ‘WiFi’. The touchscreen will scan for available networks.
- Select the desired network.
- Enter the network password. Click on the eye symbol to display the
symbols of the password. - Click on ‘Connect’ to connect to the wireless network.
*After this update it will also be possible to connect your screen to advanced networks.
How do automatic updates work?
Once the update has been released, you will receive a notification when shutting down the touchscreen, provided you switched on ‘automatic updates’. From this notification you execute the update to install it automatically. You can turn on automatic updates in the Central settings menu – in the sidebar – under ‘General’ and ‘Updates’.
How do you execute the software update manually?
It is possible to update the software at any moment after it has been made available. You can execute the update manually in the Prowise Central settings menu.
- Shut down the internal Windows PC module.
- Hold down 5 fingers on the touchscreen for 2 seconds to open the Prowise Central menu.
- Check whether Prowise Central is connected to the internet by clicking the tab ‘Connectivity’ in the sidebar of the settings menu.
- Click in the settings menu ‘General’, ‘Updates’ and ‘Check for updates’.
- Click ‘Update’ to execute the update.
On which devices can I use Reflect?
Prowise Reflect is supported by the following devices:
- Reflect is fully supported (share and control screen) by Windows® and Mac OS® devices. Download the Reflect app on our website to get started with Prowise Reflect.
- Reflect is partially supported (share screen) by Chrome OS® en Android® devices. Download the Reflect app on our website to get started with Prowise Reflect.
- Reflect is partially supported by iOS® and Mac OS® devices through the AirPlay® application installed on these devices. For this, downloading the Reflect app is not necessary.
If you want to connect a device through AirPlay®, you do not have to install an additional app. If you are using the AirPlay® app on your device, you can share audio, video and sound with the touchscreen. However, it is not possible to control the device from the screen or to share multiple devices with the touchscreen.
How do I use NFC?
In order to use the NFC card, it is important to first download the NFC extension for Windows. Carry out the following steps to install the NFC extension on a Windows PC module:
- Launch the ProLine + touchscreen or Prowise Touchscreen and go to the Windows PC module.
- Open the browser and go to www.prowise.com/en/support/prowise-central/
- Download the NFC extension.
- Open the file after downloading and install it on the PC module.
Next, you need to programme the NFC card:
- Hold down five fingers on the screen for a minimum of two seconds to open the Prowise Central menu.
- Open the sidebar to access the settings menu.
- Select the sub-menu ‘NFC’.
- Choose ‘Programme NFC card’.
- Enter your Windows user name and password and select ‘Apply’.
- Place your NFC card in the bottom right corner to programme it
- A notification will pop up once your NFC card has been programmed successfully.
- You can now log in to your Windows account with your NFC card.
How can I programme the NFC card for my Windows environment?

How do I log in with NFC
- Go to the PC module.
- Place your programmed NFC card in the bottom right corner.
- You will automatically log in to your Windows account. If you are unable to log in to your Windows account, check whether your user name and passport are programmed correctly and align with the details entered in the Windows account.
