Our Prowise MOVE camera made it to the final in the race for a prestigious Bett Award. The Bett is the most important education technology trade show in the world and we are therefore incredibly proud that the international jury has awarded us a place in the final in the category ‘Digital Devices’.
What is Prowise MOVE?
Learning through motion becomes an everyday activity with the Prowise MOVE camera. Pupils are learning through interactive games on the Prowise Touchscreen, without physically touching the screen. They are stimulated to get in motion through games. This is not only a lot of fun, but also has a positive influence on the learning outcomes.
How does it work?
The Intel® RealSense™ camera in combination with the technology in the screen registers your every move. These motions are converted into a 3D image of you, enabling the screen to follow and broadcast your movements on the Touchscreen. Prowise has developed its own range of educational games for MOVE. The games are specially developed for education and trigger pupils to get in motion while they conduct cognitive exercises.
What is learning through motion?
Learning through motion is more than just physical activity in the classroom. Learning through motion contains conducting cognitive tasks while your body is in motion. We all know the importance of physical activity, but it also has a positive influence on the learning outcomes. This is due to alterations in the brain that take place during physical activity.
Remote learning
The Prowise MOVE camera also works perfectly as a webcam in combination with Microsoft Skype. This allows for remote learning. More about remote learning.
We are fully confident that we will take home the Bett Award on January 22.
