1. Letter chooser, now also number chooser
You know the letter chooser from creating words from letters that appear randomly on the screen. It seems like a small tool, but it offers many possibilities in Presenter 10. Now the tool will also select random numbers. You can determine the range of numbers. This tool is useful when making calculations. In the settings menu, select a number between 1 and 10 and practise the multiplication table of, for instance, 8 in random order.
Also use the number chooser for class management. Assign all students with a number, and turn it into a name chooser. You don’t have to enter all the names and quickly choose a student randomly.
2. Word parachute
This tool has been made interactive. In Presenter 10 you can now type words in the windows, add new windows and set the number of columns.
The best new option: hide information in the chosen cells. This gives assignment possibilities such as letting the students guess or figure out the missing information. Afterwards they can uncover the hidden information and find out. Useful for tables including proportional calculations, missing or hidden years or a row of biology characteristics.
Moreover, the table has been made significantly more user-friendly. Once you have added the table, you can adjust the size by dragging from the corner. This way the arrows are not continuously visible.
The thermometer now shows not only degrees Celsius, but also degrees Fahrenheit. When you adjust the temperature, the degrees indicator demonstrates the heat intensity by changing colour. The latest version also has the possibility to present two thermometers side by side. You can now see the differences between thermometers instead of comparing the differences from within one thermometer.
5. Coming soon: Name chooser
There will be a neutral name chooser and a Christmas-themed one! Enter all names and select one of the boxes. The box will open and a randomly chosen name will appear on the screen. This tool will become available from the Presenter 10 beta version 1.4.
